A digital product and branding studio with an agile mindset.
Hey there! This website describes briefly who we are and what we do. So if you don’t know us yet: just keep reading. For the others (or for later) we have many colorful social media channels such as our Medium blog with weekly recaps, Snapchat for the daily hustle, Instagram full of seemingly antique photos, Twitter with industry news and updates, a gif parade and a Facebook page for clicking “Like” buttons. Or you could just say “hi” via Messenger.
Still here despite the many links? Great!
Then let’s get straight down to the nitty-gritty:
We design and develop brands, web sites and apps with an agile mindset—beginning with small, nifty ideas and then iterating on them within our interdisciplinary team. We’re constantly questioning our assumptions with a relentless focus on the needs of the target audience. We obsess over the nitty-gritty details, but never lose sight of the big picture, working quickly and pragmatically to validate concepts and evolve them into fully fledged digital products. We’re fascinated by good design and new technology, not for the heck of it, but where it makes sense as a part of the overall ecosystem.
We create tailor-made solutions and modern branding, without rigid guidelines, rather as fluid developing systems. Ready for the digital world where nothing is ever » done « and change is the only constant.
Alright… and who are you?
We’re a team of designers, developers and strategists with a thing for ones and zeros. In the past we’ve been employed by agencies big and small, e.g. Edenspiekermann, Meta Design, Jung v. Matt, Minigram, A Color Bright, Blumberry or Scholz & Friends. There we’ve found ourselves in leading roles on projects with clients such as: 11 Freunde, Ableton, Autostadt, AZ Medien, Carhartt, CDU, Deutsche Post, FontShop, Huawei, Optivo, Otto Bock, Red Bull, Red Bull Music Academy, Ringier, Trivago, Volkswagen, ZEIT ONLINE.
Since January 2016 we’ve been doing our own thing and already worked on numerous projects and in continuing collaboration; among others with AZ Medien, Liganova, Dropscan, FontShop, BerlinLinienBus, TypeMates, Alphabet Type, Baumgardt Consulting, Nolte & Lauth, häberlein & mauerer (for Leerdammer), the Internet Economy Foundation, TEMEDOS and smarterGerman.
To cut a long story short: We’ve got experience with big, complex projects and know what we’re doing (most of the time). A full portfolio is available on request.
This being our own company, we’re of course super idealistic about how we want to structure our work:
- Our approach to projects is always iterative, pragmatic and user-focused, utilising common sense instead of blindly following conventions. We haven’t done anything » by the book « yet and we intend to keep it that way.
- We believe a modern company culture has to be based on transparency and honesty, so we always aim to document project progress as openly as possible, have transparent salaries and share our learnings on social media.
- Every company that wants to stay on top of the game has to create opportunities for learning, discussing, reading; taking a break from project work. That’s why we dedicate a significant part of our time to experimentation—to make sure we’re always doing the best work possible.
